We’ve had some great recognition recently. There was the Best Workplace for Women in July; this was followed by being named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in the Financial Services and Insurance industry in August.

And to make it a hat-trick, we’ve just been voted Best Fleet Management Company by industry publication BusinessCar.

That’s some recognition against our industry peers. And richly deserved by all our staff who deliver the service day in day out to a mix of fleets ranging from small fleets through to fleets in the thousands.

Exceptional technology powers our fleet management expertise, starting with our Fleet 360 tool, which helps audit each fleet by pinpointing more cost-effective car solutions through a whole life cost approach and identifying where electrification would be most suitable for fleet decarbonisation.

I’m not going to cover every aspect of our comprehensive Fleet 360 tool, but central to it is the competitive tendering process, where every vehicle is presented to our panel of leading funders to ensure the lowest rental is achieved for every car or van we supply.

We estimate this saves at least 10% per annum on running a fleet, which is a substantial £72,000 on the bottom line each year for a fleet of 200 cars.

The BusinessCar judges recognised this combination of cost saving and decarbonisation for “not just managing, but re-engineering fleets for a safer, cleaner and more cost-effective future.”

That approach, which forms part of our sustainable mobility strategy for fleet management, is certainly beginning to show in the choice of vehicles.

In the first half of 2025 vehicle orders were over 80% electrified (45% for battery electric vehicles and 36% for hybrids) – the highest market share for both drivetrain types to date with the current order pipeline exceeding these figures. And we expect those figures to continue in that direction.

Of course not all fleets are ready to move to electrified vehicles so we ensure that the same benefits of fleet management and best pricing apply across all vehicle types.

But fleet management is also about how you present information to fleet managers. It’s another aspect the BusinessCar judges picked up on in their citation, saying: “Over the last year, Fleet Alliance has combined data-driven insight, relentless innovation and a passionate team to cut client costs, reduce risk and accelerate decarbonisation.”

While Fleet 360 is the complete fleet management solution, e-Fleet helps fleet managers look after their fleet in realtime, irrespective of funder. Our cloud-based reporting system enables those in control of fleet to order new vehicles, log and track mileage, and provide notifications such as MOT renewals when due. Plus plenty more.

It’s all about getting simple visibility rather than an overwhelming deluge of data.

So I’m absolutely delighted that BusinessCar recognised Fleet Alliance as the Best Fleet Management Company in its 2025 awards. It’s recognition of the Fleet Alliance DNA that runs deep through the company.
