We are delighted to have been announced as a winner at this year’s Glasgow Business Awards in the Excellence in Customer Service category.
This latest success follows news that we have also been shortlisted at the 2015 National Business Awards for the third year in a row.
Now in their 18th year, the Glasgow Business Awards celebrate business success with a glittering awards ceremony and dinner at the Hilton Glasgow Hotel.
Managing director, Martin Brown, said: ”We were delighted to receive the Excellence in Customer Service award at this year’s Glasgow Business Awards, which recognises companies with a focus on customer service and care.
“Entrants were required to demonstrate excellence through their customer service objectives and strategy, business performance, customer care activities, staff development plans and show how this has driven business growth.
This latest awards triumph comes in a year in which we have already seen significant awards success.
“This is great news as we are also shortlisted in both the Scottish Business Awards, which will be announced on November 12 in Edinburgh, and at the National Business Awards, which will be announced on November 10 in London.”
The company is especially pleased to be shortlisted in the Customer Focus Award category of the National Business Awards, as we regard customer service as our number one priority and put our clients at the heart of everything we do.
We have a number of initiatives in place to engender first rate customer service. Key amongst these is Fleet Alliance Loves, a company-wide initiative that encourages engagement, trust, fairness and respect. As a company, we firmly believe that by looking after our people, they will, in turn, look after fleet clients with the same care and attention.
It is an approach that has helped achieve outstanding business results. The company has reported four record years in a row and seen its operating profit grow by 58% in the last 12 months. Already this year, operating profits are up by over 30%.
At the same time, the client base has grown by more than 32%, while the average fleet size has also increased. The overall managed fleet size has grown by 21% to more than 18,000 vehicles in the same time.
This latest awards triumph comes in a year in which we have already seen significant awards success.
In May, we were again voted one of the best places to work in the UK following the results of a survey by the independent Great Place to Work Institute. We finished a highly impressive ninth out of the top 50 in the medium-sized category for companies with 50-499 employees. At the same time, we also won the ‘Excellence in Leadership Award’ in the medium-sized company category.
In October our eco-Fleet programme was recognised with a coveted Green Apple award for Environmental Best Practice for CO2 Reduction.
And, earlier in the year, we were rated the UK’s top vehicle leasing and fleet management company for service to customers in the annual Experteye customer satisfaction survey.
We topped the category which recognises customer service to fleet operators with up to 250 vehicles with an overall Customer Satisfaction Index rating of 96%, based on results obtained throughout 2014 from Experteye’s highly-regarded rolling customer satisfaction survey.
