Fleet Alliance today announces it has been appointed by Royal London, the UK’s largest customer-owned life, pensions and investment company, as the provider for its business need and salary sacrifice car schemes.
Fleet Alliance will provide support for colleagues who require a vehicle for business purposes, as well as those who choose a car through Royal London’s salary sacrifice scheme.
A focus on choice, technology and colleague experience
The decision follows a competitive review process, with Fleet Alliance selected for its customer experience, market-leading technology, breadth of vehicle choice and proven expertise in vehicle leasing and fleet management.
The new arrangements will give colleagues access to an extensive range of new and used vehicles, including electric and Plug-in Hybrid models, supported by a digital platform designed to make vehicle selection and management straightforward and transparent.
Andy Bruce, CEO of Fleet Alliance, said: “We’re thrilled to have been selected by Royal London to support both its company car requirements and colleague salary sacrifice scheme.
“Bringing the two together gives Royal London a joined-up approach to its vehicle provision, backed by our technology, fleet expertise and access to a broad choice of new and used electric vehicles.
“Royal London placed considerable emphasis on the experience it wanted to provide colleagues, alongside value, flexibility and its longer-term mobility objectives. Those are areas where we believe Fleet Alliance can add significant value, and we’re looking forward to developing the partnership.”
Kirsten Paterson, Reward Partner at Royal London, said: “The decision to move to Fleet Alliance was driven by our desire to provide colleagues with the best possible experience throughout the vehicle journey. While competitive pricing remains important, we were equally focused on service quality, technology, vehicle choice and the ability to support our future requirements.
“Fleet Alliance demonstrated strength across all of these areas and we’re excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring for our colleagues.”
A joined-up approach to vehicle provision
Royal London has worked closely with Fleet Alliance to ensure a smooth transition, supporting colleagues through a programme of communications, guidance materials and engagement activity throughout the implementation.
The new arrangements provide greater visibility of available vehicles, improved online functionality and access to specialist support, while supporting Royal London’s longer-term ambitions to maintain attractive and competitive vehicle schemes and expand access to electric vehicles.
Positive early uptake from Royal London colleagues
Early uptake has included a broad range of electric vehicles, with models from Tesla, Polestar, MINI, Jaecoo and Leapmotor among those already selected by Royal London colleagues across the new and used vehicle offering.
Louise Gunn, senior proposition analyst at Royal London (pictured), said: “I recently took delivery of a used MINI Cooper S through my workplace salary sacrifice scheme with Fleet Alliance and was extremely impressed throughout the process.
“The customer service I received was excellent from start to finish. Everyone I dealt with was professional, helpful and responsive, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fleet Alliance to colleagues considering a salary sacrifice vehicle.”
