Fleet Alliance has been named a Best Workplace for Women in the 2025 certification rankings for medium sized businesses. The certification is by the Great Place to Work organisation, the global authority on workplace culture.
The accreditation is the fourth time that Fleet Alliance has been recognised, building on our culture of fairness, trust, engagement and respect.
The certification is based purely on employee feedback from the Great Place to Work Survey.
According to Great Place to Work, 85 percent of the ranking is based on what women themselves report about their workplace, and how fairly those experiences compare to men’s reports of the same workplaces.
“The Best Workplace for Women recognition is really important to us as an organisation,” says Andy Bruce, CEO of Fleet Alliance.
“It’s fundamental to our business that everyone who is employed by Fleet Alliance experiences fairness at work, and beyond that the environment should also be an enjoyable one. We want to make Fleet Alliance an environment that attracts and retains the best talent. The Best Workplace for Women accreditation validates this policy.”
In order to be considered for the UK’s Best Workplace for Women, there were a variety of criteria that Fleet Alliance had to meet. These included:
- The company must employ a minimum of 10 women
- At least 25% of the Fleet Alliance workforce must be women
- A baseline of 20% women must be in non-executive management roles
- A minimum of 1+ women representation on the board of directors or executive/c-level status
“These are not difficult numbers for Fleet Alliance to meet. 40% of our senior management are women, while 55% of the entire workforce are women.” continues Andy.
Andy says that building progressive pathways to leadership is crucial, while recognising issues around women’s well-being and family commitments are essential to making Fleet Alliance a workplace that’s attuned to women.
“I know automotive is typically regarded as a male-oriented business, but that really is changing and this fourth certification we’ve achieved with Best Workplaces for Women reflects that industry reorientation in which we have been leaders,” adds Andy.
Sara’s experience at Fleet Alliance

Name: Sara Marshall
Role: Sales Support Administrator
Sara Marshall is a Sales Support Administrator who joined Fleet Alliance 12 months ago. Previously, she had worked in the IT industry
“I saw this job advertised at Fleet Alliance and did some digging about the company. The reviews were positive, it had won awards for its people culture and many of the benefits were highly appealing, so I thought I would proceed with the application. I was successful and got the job!” says Sara.
So after a year at Fleet Alliance, have the reviews matched the reality of working at Fleet Alliance?
“I would say it does,” continues Sara.
“It’s a really enjoyable place to work, even if the pressures are perhaps more demanding than I had expected, the people are friendly, and it’s a highly welcoming environment. Everybody is very approachable which makes a huge difference. Your colleagues respect you and you feel valued by your managers. I would certainly recommend others to come and work here.”
