We’re not cool, but we are award winning

So Apple is the coolest brand.
The company behind iconic products such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod has been voted the coolest of the CoolBrands in Britain by voters from the public and a panel of 38 key influencers.

Number two on the list was the sports car maker Aston Martin and third was high-end watch maker Rolex.

Interestingly, also in the Top 10 was Glastonbury – the music festival (and usually mud festival!).

So, what makes a cool brand?

It’s all fairly subjective I would have thought, but voters were asked to bear in mind the following criteria: style; innovation; originality; authenticity; desirability; and uniqueness.

That’s a pretty fair list, but could a fleet management company ever make the cool list?

“We were voted Best Company to Work for in Scotland and achieved fifth place overall in the UK, alongside such big names as IKEA, Microsoft and Coca Cola.”

Unlikely given the criteria because coolness is also based on items you want and desire; what we do is facilitate use through the supply of financial services and management expertise.

Whether that’s the desire of a company car driver for the newest premium model on the market or the fleet manager’s desire to contain costs and lower CO2 – we service that desire and make it real, make it happen.

But we do perform this service with authenticity – ask the people who work here at Fleet Alliance. Although we take our jobs seriously, we have a huge amount of fun doing it.

We’ve been recognised for this – we were voted Best Company to Work for in Scotland and achieved fifth place overall in the Best Place to Work in the UK, alongside such big names as IKEA, Microsoft and Coca Cola.

Now, however, we have a new award: we have been voted Best Small Fleet Leasing Company by Business Car Manager in the inaugural Small Fleet Leasing Awards.

And much of this has to do with the unseen things that make a company successful – even if it’s never going to quite make the cool list.

And that’s good people delivering excellent customer service through robust business processes backed up by sound industry expertise.

I am really thrilled to win this award – not just for me but everyone here at Fleet Alliance that makes it such a great place to work. Because it’s recognition. Recognition of our expertise in the small fleet leasing market voted for by people who understand the business of leasing.

As well as the overall title we also won two categories: Best Small Fleet Leasing Company over 250 sales and Best Small Fleet Leasing Programme.

So, we might not be as cool as Apple, Aston Martin or Rolex but winning the best in sector accolade for Best Small Fleet Leasing Company – now that is cool.
