How the Global acquisition enhances Fleet Alliance’s AR proposition

At the beginning of June, Fleet Alliance became part of the Global Vehicle Group, thereby creating the largest B2B leasing brokerage in the UK.
With annual volumes of 18,000 units and an aggregate group fleet size of more than 70,000 vehicles, the Global Vehicle Group provides a significant enhancement on the acquisition power that Fleet Alliance already enjoyed, particularly with vans.
For Fleet Alliance Appointed Representatives (ARs) such a crucial acquisition provides an opportunity to accelerate established growth patterns and offer improved terms to customers.
“The landmark acquisition delivers enhanced van discounts, stronger buying power, and expanded opportunities for AR partners to deliver sustainable growth.”

Tell me in more detail what the acquisition means for ARs
The key change that ARs will notice is the enhanced buying terms the group now delivers, thanks to the LCV specialisms of Global Vans, XLCR and the lcv group. Such combined purchasing volumes deliver more competitive lease rentals across a wide variety of LCV manufacturers, helping ARs to reach further into the SME fleet market and serve customers with more advantageous lease terms.
But that’s only part of it. The advantages are broader and deeper. Being part of the group offers a greater choice of vehicles to offer clients with access to a wider product range, encompassing everything from small city vans to large LCVs, along with electric van options for those businesses wanting to transition to zero emission LCVs.
There’s also better access to stock with improved allocation and priority ordering thanks to extensive manufacturer relationships.
The greater access to commercial vehicles at highly advantageous rentals is just one part of the enhancement to the Fleet Alliance AR programme.
The essential elements of what was already a strong offering remains in place, such as the ability to provide the Fleet Alliance Salary Sacrifice programme to customers.
As companies look to drive down carbon emissions as part of their ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy, salary sacrifice is becoming an increasingly important product to have as part of an AR’s fleet offering – a fact substantiated by the BVRLA’s latest Leasing Outlook survey which has seen salary sacrifice double year on year with a 96% increase in uptake.
It has certainly helped Fleet Alliance’s newest AR Chris Rowthorn to land an impressive salary sacrifice programme with aviation company Aermach, with the first vehicles already delivered to employees.
“Aermach’s salary sacrifice scheme encourages staff to make the timely transition to electric cars, thereby reducing the corporate carbon footprint while helping the business meet its ESG agenda.”

Helping find customers in the fleet space
Fleet sales are the backbone of the Fleet Alliance AR programme, allowing ARs to place orders for both small and medium sized enterprises, which is another market area that is demonstrating increasing growth.
The same BVRLA Leasing Outlook survey that saw salary sacrifice increase by 96% also saw Business Contract Hire grow by 7.5% year on year as company car drivers switch to electric, taking advantage of beneficial company car tax rates, while businesses seek the dependability of budgeted monthly outflows for their vehicle operations.
ARs can run each lease deal through the Fleet Alliance competitive panel of funders to ensure the best value rental agreement on the day is quoted.
Fleet Alliance AR Sarah Bisset – who was Highly Commended in the Broker News Awards 2025 – says she continues to nudge clients towards electric vehicles as part of Fleet Alliance’s stated aim to be a sustainable mobility supplier.
“I work hard to help my clients understand the many benefits of electrification, not just from a taxation point of view, but also from the wider ESG perspective.”
Sarah Bisset, Appointed Representative, Fleet Alliance
Sarah says her electrified orders in 2024 were up 50% year on year and she says that 2025 is seeing a similar increase having also successfully introduced several salary sacrifice schemes to customers. As a result she grew her client base by 23% in 2024 alone and is continuing that upward trend in 2025.
Assisting Sarah is award winning e-Fleet software, providing advanced fleet management tools. These include a reporting system that allows customers to manage their fleet in real time, providing visibility across their fleet, irrespective of funder or asset management choice.
A driver app ensures all data is visible for the driver’s car, regardless of funder, providing ‘fleet management in the pocket’ for drivers, and helping alleviate the burden on the company’s fleet administrator
Andy Riley says that the fleet management software was crucial in his decision-making to become a Fleet Alliance AR, providing him with a full overview of his larger client fleets and greater opportunity to provide additional services.
“I wanted the ability to deal with a small business that has one to five vehicles and all they want is a competitive price, as well as the bigger fleets where you are a trusted partner and I can embed Fleet Alliance’s e-Fleet software, the vehicle rental offering and all the ancillary services that Fleet Alliance provides.”

Marketing and compliance support
One of the essential parts of the Fleet Alliance AR package is the marketing support to help generate leads and a wide variety of information resources to enable ARs to grow their business.
Hand in hand with that is the operational support that takes care of the back end administration, allowing ARs to continue consulting with clients or finding new business opportunities, rather than chasing vehicles and the finance paperwork.
And then there is the compliance support in what is an increasingly regulated market. Fleet Alliance looks after all FCA compliance and audits enabling ARs to concentrate on customers and new leads, unencumbered by financial regulation reporting requirements.
Fleet Alliance – an award-winning partner
ARs benefit from being part of an award winning fleet and leasing company that values all its employees. It has been voted A Great Place to Work 12 times, while recently it was named A Best Workplace For Women for the fourth successive time.
Fleet Alliance is also recognised for its sector expertise, being named Best SME Fleet Broker in the Broker News Awards 2025 and is a finalist for the forthcoming Business Car Awards in the Best Fleet Management category where it has previously won Best Customer Service and its e-Fleet Mobile software the Best App award.
ARs also have access to the Fleet Alliance CRM systems, stock updates, and instant quoting tools while supported by a dedicated AR account management function dedicated to helping the business development of its ARs.
“The acquisition by the Global Vehicle Group is a major boost to helping Fleet Alliance focus on growing its AR network, while developing new product launches and finance solutions that are tailored to the LCV market. In addition there is ongoing investment in digital tools to improve AR productivity and customer engagement, which all enhances our already excellent AR proposition. Please talk to me if you are interested in becoming one of our outstanding ARs.”
