Flexi Hire offers flexible business solution
18 January 2010
Fleet Alliance has launched Flexi Hire, offering businesses a flexible solution to their short to medium term mobility needs part-way between daily rental and contract hire and which applies to both cars and light commercials.
Flexi Hire covers the supply of a vehicle of choice from one day up to 30 months, and is ideal for businesses that are in their first year of trading, have a number of new starters still on probationary periods or who simply do not want to tie up valuable resources in a long term lease.
It is being viewed as complementary to Fleet Alliance’s very strong, established and competitive contract hire offering which accounts for the bulk of its fleet and corporate business.
“We have sought to provide our fleet and business customers with a greater flexibility and wider choice in terms of meeting their mobility needs,” said Martin Brown, managing director at Fleet Alliance.
“Flexi Hire fits between short term or daily rental of vehicles and more traditional, longer term contract hire, and greatly increases the number of options for customers. It is very much complementary to our contract hire offering and we see it as a product for these harsher economic times,” he said.
The benefits for businesses of Flexi Hire are as follows:
Newly-appointed fleet solutions manager Martin Gray said Flexi Hire was the ideal solution to help customers achieve the balance on their fleets that they were looking for.
“Many of our clients have a need for a mix of long term contract hire vehicles and others on a more short term basis. The combination of the two gives them the balance they need to run their fleet as effectively as possible.
“Flexi Hire now offers that additional flexibility and we expect it to be a very popular business product as a result,” he said.
Gray, 32, recently joined the company from Mercedes-Benz dealer group John R. Weir where he was corporate sales manager for the five-site business. Prior to that he was corporate development manager for Scotland and the North West for Mercedes-Benz UK.
His new appointment further increases Fleet Alliance’s emphasis on its fleet solutions offering to business customers as Gray’s entire focus will be on the non funding side of the business. Initially, this will be concentrated on three Fleet Alliance solutions, Accident Management, Driver Licence Check and Flexi Hire.
“We wanted to increase our commitment to the fleet solutions offering we make available to our fleet and business customers by having a dedicated manager responsible for their promotion,” added Martin Brown.
